Father John Morrison, our school chaplain, visits each class and also joins in at assembly time.

During the recent Parish Mission we held an assembly for the Mission group to speak to the pupils and P5-7 pupils went to one of the special Masses held in the church.  We learned a lot about Mary.

Our Primary 5, 6 and 7 children visited the church during 40 hours adoration in September.  Father had made up a prayer service and we prayed in silence too for our own intentions.

Some of our Primary 6 &7 children travelled to Paisley to take part in the Vocations Mass and  on 11th September.  We joined primary and secondary pupils from all over the diocese.  It was very late when Mass finished but all the children agreed it had been a very good experience!

During this Year of Faith we are asking parents/carers to join in with our class Masses and we are hoping to visit the Church more often to join with the parish community in celebrating Mass in the Church.  We celebrated a special Advent Mass with all of our P1-3 pupils and their parent/carers and family.  We were delighted that 115 people came to the school to celebrate with us.

On Catholic Education Sunday our pupils took a very active part in the Mass by reading the bidding prayers and taking up the gifts during the offertory but they also told the congregation what it is like in being in a Catholic Primary School and gave examples of what life is like in St Patrick's.  Well done everyone!
